Why the engine parts get weared,although the recommended oil is used with regular changes?

This is a bit philosophic question.Does recommended oil really protect engine parts from wear,or is it maker's politics selling engine parts when they get weared and get more money to their partners which make them and authorized mechanics which do the

I've had a least a dozen cars and none have ever needed a new engine for mileages up to the 200,000 miles I've owned them. I have always used http://www.MobilOne.com oil in them. Automatic transmissions wear out sooner generally.
