What is the best Spark Plug for my Ford Escort? (When I get its tune-up, im changing the wires & plugs. More?)?

I want to put Bosch Platinum+4 in there. They worked great on my Volkswagens and BMW, and while I realize that is all Germany, I cant see NGK being the best. Unless it is. (I obviously want the best Spark Plug and Wire combination to maximize the engine

Don't use Bosch plugs in American vehicles.
Autolite Platinum or Iridium plugs work fine.
Don't buy the cheapest plug wires, the ends always come off the wires next time you pull them off the spark plugs.
