how much would a clutch be for a 1998 nissan maxima? my gears keep grinding, i dont know what it is??

it started happening like 2 weeks ago sometimes it would go into gear and sometimes it wouldnt.... now i cant get it into gear at all

It could be your clutch, witch would cost about $150 at a parts store. triple that to have it done at a shop. I do all my stuff my self just for that reason. It might be your syncro going out. inside the trany your shifter connects to the gear sprag via
