where is the fuel filter on vw passat 1994, and is it easy to change?

I have a vw passat '94 i would like to know where the fuel filter is located, or is it fuel injected? If it has a fuel filter, is it hard to change?

2.8 liter engine is located underneath the right rear in front of the gas tank. takes about half an hour to change it.
