When replacing a cracked radiator is it necesary to replace the thermostat?

2001 civic 95k miles..
cracked upper tank on radiator so i will replace with a new one..
Should the thermostat also be changed eventhough it still works?
The car is not overheating so i assume the thermostat worls eventhough the delearship
