If you place a fuse into a cartridge with gunpowder?

Will the cartridge explode when you light the fuse? Granted that you sealed the cartridge from the top.

Either one of two things will happen. 1. you did a poor job of putting the fuse in and you will just burn the power or 2. you did a good job and the cartridge will explode. Bullets already have a type of fuse in them it is called a percussion fuse hit
