What is the top speed of the BMW R1100S motorcycle?

I was told the top speed 150 MPH, but the speedometer shows 170 MPH. Which one is correct?

the R1100 actually tops out just over the 130 mph mark...
It only reaches Nearer the 150 mark if it is fully liberated and the set up is perfect...
IT WILL NEVER reach the 170 top mark on the speedo... Nothing does!!!
