Replacing brake pads for Audi A6 2001?

My brake pads are near end of life and plan to replace them. The dealer is quoting $1095 to replace front and rear brake pads. Do I have cheaper alternatives? I live in East Lansing, Michigan, US.

Double check that quote- I think the dealer is also charging you for rotors as well. In the case of Audi, and other European and most domestics, the rotors cannot be turned. What you can do is this, and I did it with my A4. Go onto Autozone, Checkers,
