1978 arctic cat seat removal?

i have a 1978 arctic cat jag 2000 the tail light is not hooked up and i neet to take the seat off but it is strapped down how the hell do you get the seat off thanks

should be a latch release bar on one side of the seat. push forward, or pull back, and seat should raise up.
